ZAC PROCESSED

This processed plate solution takes advantage of a new range of “intelligent”
Fujifilm plate processors (FLH-Z) which incorporate “ZAC” technology.

This unique Fujifilm technology determines the optimum replenishment rate to provide the best possible development conditions, irrespective of plate volume or image area.

This improves the quality and consistency of plate development and significantly reduces the amount of chemistry used to develop a typical plate.

PROCESSLESS PLATES

The term “processless” refers to a type of plate which doesn’t require a processor.
Typically, the plate is taken out of a platesetter once imaged (without any processing) and put directly onto the press.

The process of starting up the press and running the first few sheets of paper removes the plate coating (onto the paper) typically within the first 20 sheets.

CHEMISTRY-FREE

The term “Chemistry-Free” refers to a type of plate that utilises a “Finishing Unit”
to fix the image.

Typically, a plate imaged in a platesetter is then taken through a finishing unit
where a liquid solution removes the non-image area on the plate. The plate is
then ready to go on-press. The liquid solution is typically less hazardous
environmentally than a normal plate processing chemistry, but normally can’t
be discharged to drain.

The finishing unit is also much simpler than a traditional plate processor,
requiring fewer development stages.
